Hi Rachel, you're right, I thought the same thing when I hung it up and got a good look at it.

I was just thinking that if the pattern would be upside down it would look like (fir?) trees.
Nice poncho, but I'm way too busy to make it now...

Hi Michelle, yes, you need to dc in each of the dc's in the round and 2 dc in each of the ch-2 spaces. Thanks for catching that. I've corrected this round on the pattern.

I have a question about row 7. After I dc in the ch2 space, should I dc in the next 2 stitches instead of in just the next stitch?

Thank you, Michelle! That's such a nice compliment! I hope you enjoy the patterns.

I love your patterns, Dot. I haven't found any than make up as easily or look as beautiful as yours.

Hi Cheryl, Hmmm, depends on how much larger you want to make it. You could just use a larger hook or you could make a longer starting chain, keep it an even number and be sure when you get to round 8 you have a number of stitches divisible by 8, so the pattern stitch will work right.

If you make a longer starting chain, you might need to make more decreases around the neck edge to get it to fit right.

I want to think this poncho really will work for a 3x too, but since I'm a 2x, I can only vouch for what fits me.

Hi Dot, nice to see your pattern is up and ready now. Could you give me some suggestions on how to make it bigger than a 2X. Thanks for sharing!
