I made this poncho. It turned out beautiful. I did it in a baby blue heavy yarn. Thank you so much for this. I have had people stop me in stores and on the street telling me that it is beautiful.
Thank you so much

Hi Lissi, thank you. I'm glad you like it. J hook is a 10. I don't know what to tell you about size you should use to enlarge the poncho, I don't know how to change sizes. Sorry.

This is so bueatiful. It makes me want to make one for myself ^^
nice done. Is a J hook large? I'm a Greenlander and we use numbers for sizes in needles, plus I'm a large woman, that means I should use a large hook right? But how large, in average ?

Hi Vee, I finally found it. That is a pretty poncho. I don't have any idea how to increase it to an adult size, though.

Dot,
I made the bows and arrows poncho for my mom to give to a friend then she asked for the hat. All Shirley did Friday night was brag about the beautiful poncho I made her and then she did the same thing Sat. then she asked if I could make a poncho for her 6 year old granddaughter so this morning I started on that poncho but instead of an H hook I grabbed a G hook I think for this girl it will work she is small for her age. I am using simply soft in white
thank you for these wonderful patterns

Hi Ruth, I bet your poncho is beautiful. Thank you for telling me my pattern is easy to read. I try really hard to write them so most everyone can do them.

I'm sorry you missed the correction, Erin, but I really doubt it made much, if any, difference in the end result. I'm sure your aunt's sister will love this, especially since you made it just for her. You had quite a marathon crochet session there, no wonder your wrist hurts. Be sure to rest it now for awhile. I look forward to seeing the picture in About crochet forum.

I got the stitch from "A Treasury of Crochet Patterns", by Liz Blackwell. It's on page 142 and is #22 of her Shell Stitch collection. The pattern stitch is worked in a multiple of 12 + 10, if that helps you.

Just finished mine this morning...wish I'd seen the info about the error in the pattern before I finished weaving in that last tail, but it doesnt look like it made a difference in how mine came out. It took me about 15 hrs to crochet this poncho...and most of the 15hrs were continuous. (oww...my wrist hurts!) I made it for my aunt's sister... I'll post a picture in the about.com crochet forum later.

I really liked the stitches for this... Any idea how I can adapt the stitch pattern into an afghan or a shawl?

Hi Deborah, Thanks for the heads up on the error in Round 7. I corrected what I thought you were talking about (in red). Let me know if that's not it.

I'm glad you like the pattern, I really enjoyed designing it. Thanks for telling me how you adjusted it to fit your darling granddaughter. I'll add that bit of information to the pattern when I credit you with the correction information.

BOWS AND ARROWS PONCHO: Round 7 seemed incorrect for the first space ... but I made the adjustment. I loved the look of this poncho, but wanted to make it for my precious princess [granddaughter] for her upcoming 8th birthday. All that I did was use an H hook instead. It is gorgeous. Thanks for your hard work. I'm going to make a hat and little purse to match for her.
Thanks again
