please can you confirm if I should chain 203 and then begin cluster in 5th chain, or should I chain 206 total (including the chain 3 in the beginning cluster) and then work in 5th row? Beautiful pattern, just uncertain how to begin. Thanks.

Hi Jenn, I'm glad you like this pattern. It turned out to be one of my favorites. The hat pattern is listed on the left in the Hat Pattern section. It's called Cluster Craze Hat. I should put a link in the pattern to it. I'll go back and do that now. Happy hookin'.

Hi. I love this pattern, it's gorgeous!
Do you have a pattern for the hat as well? I'd love to make this if it's available.
Thanks!

Hi Kristen,
Sorry you're having trouble with the scarf. You're right, where it says "same stitch" scratch the "same" make it read, YARN OVER, INSERT HOOK IN STITCH... that way it can mean any stitch, the 5th stitch from the hook or any other designated stitch in the pattern. In this instance it is referring to the 5th ch from the hook. Row 1 should read as you have it...ch 203, (beg cluster, ch 3, cluster) in 5th st from hook.

I'll make the necessary changes to the pattern as soon as possible. If you find any more errors or if anything else is unclear to you, please let me know, so I can help you and others with this.

Hi,

I've tried making this scarf twice but I get stuck after I make the 204 ch. I'm not sure where the beg. cluster is suppose to go. Instead of this:
ROW 1: ch 203, (cluster, ch 3, cluster)
is it suppose to look like this:
ROW 1: ch 203, (beg cluster, ch 3, cluster)

Also where it says insert hook in same stitch, is the same stitch the 5th chain from hook?

BEGINNING CLUSTER - beg cluster: chain 3, (yarn over, insert hook in same stitch

Thanks!

Kristen

That's right. It's not going to make too much difference in the way the scarf looks, but it is an error I need to correct. I've been sick this week, so when I start feeling better, I'll work up another scarf and get this correction done.

Thanks Niki, glad you like the pattern. OK, let's see, beg cluster is supposed to be the first cluster of each round. I didn't do a very good job of writing this pattern up. I need to go back and make corrections to it. Thanks for bringing this to my attention.
