Hi, I've been looking everywhere for a pattern for me to make my son for wearing under his christening gown. I'm going to try this right away!

Hi Milagros, I'm glad you like this pattern. I'm afraid I don't know how to make a lacy sock either, but you could try doing 1 or more increase rounds to get this pattern wide enough for your daughter's leg, then just follow the pattern and add more rows to get it long enough for her. try this
round 2: ch 2, 2 dc in same st as join, dc in next 2 sts, *2 dc in next st, 2 dc in next 2 sts, then repeat from * around. and join. then just follow the rest of the pattern as written. I don't know if this will work for what you want, but it's something you can try.
Good luck with your project. I hope it works for you.

Hi Dot, I really love the baby knee booties, it remaind me my granda when she did my lacy soaks when I was little. I tried to make one for my daughter but she is 5, and don't know how to do a lacy soak for her, I am block. Hope you can help me.
Thank you and best wishes in this new year.

Hi Tasha. Thank you. I'm just guessing, but I'd try it with a larger hook and see what you get. I think this will pretty much fit most babies. I'd love to hear how your project turns out. Take care, and happy hookin'!

Hi Dot! What a cute pattern. I want to make these, but with Bernat Softee Baby which says it's Sport DK weight. I don't want them to be too tiny (I'm making them for 2 neices who are bigger babies), would you recommend me going up a hook size..?

Hi Laura, you might not have to go up any on it. measure the child's leg, these socks are 7" around. If that's not large enough, you might just go up a hook size. I'd love to know how they turn out.

Hi Sonnywolfgar, I'm so glad you like these booties. I can't wait to hear how your neighbor likes them. It's so nice of you to make them for her. Please do post pictures of your finished projects wherever you want. I'd be disappointed if you didn't. I want to see pictures too! I love seeing how my patterns look done by someone else. Have fun with it. Happy hookin'!

Thanks for the booties patern. They look really easy to do and they are cute. I am a caregiver for a 5 month old baby girl and she can never keep her little socks on and I am thinking that maybe these will work for her. With winter coming she will need to keep her tiny feet warn.
