I finished the light and lacy hat and love it and my 19 year old daughter came home from work and saw it laying on other hats I made and she commented how much she liked it. I started to make the E L Brimmed hat in cotton yarn and so far love it also but I got stuck on round 15..it just does not make sense to me...can you help me?

I made this up in a variegated pink cotton and it is cute! I did find it essential to count the number of stitches at the end of each row prior to entering the lace pattern, as several times I ended up with a different number than the pattern stated and needed to fix that by modifying the increases or skipping the last stitch. It came out fine. I really like the lace. I prefer the brim rolled up a bit more than you did for the photos and was impressed by how the technique of crocheting in the front hook only makes the edge more inclined to hold a roll. Thanks!

I just wanted to tell you that you have wonderful patterns and I think you are a wonderful and giving person to put them on your blog for free. I know I am going to enjoy making quite a few of these items for my little granddaughter.

Thank you

Thanks, Kathryn. Yes, all 4 pictures are of the same hat just with the brim worn differently.

Great pattern I was just wondering if this pattern will make both the brimmed hat and the bucket hat also

Hi Cheryl, I know what you mean about giving away your items and not taking pictures. I used to do that too, but then I realized that I didn't own anything at all that I had crocheted and I wanted a way to look back and see what the items looked like. I keep a notebook of my projects and enjoy looking back on them from time to time.
