I finished two shawls using this pattern. THey really turned out nice. The first was for me, but the recent cool day I wore it to work, a co-worker asked me to make them one! I finished it tonight, so she'll be happy when I show up with it tomorrow. It's very comfy, long for wrapping up in, and classy looking for work or with jeans. Good job, Dot!

Jenni, I hope yours turns out nice! I am putting the edging on mine as I type. I am using Caron Perfect Match in "Lace" and it washes well, staying soft after multiple washings. I noticed that you are using Jiffy, which is another of my favorites! Boy, I love that stuff for scarves! It's realllllly soft.
Dot, I hope you are well. Let us know how you are.

Hey, thanks for sharing your shawl pattern. I have been looking for a design for a longer shawl, and haven't been happy with some of the diagonals I've seen.
I'm making yours from Caron brand "lace" color so that it will be a flexible shade to wear this fall.

Hi Sue, thank you. I'm glad you find my patterns easy to follow. I don't know what your yarn looks like, but it will probably work out just great.

Do you think this pattern would work with baby alpaca yarn? I have ten skeins (180 yard each) I bought in Peru and it is so soft and lacy and fine. Any ideas? Your patterns are very easy to understand. I have been at this for two years and can't believe some of the patterns in books and how confusing they are.

Hi Kisha, I think you could use any yarn that's about the size of the bernat baby yarn. A sport weight or even caron simply soft would probably work out just fine. You want someting lighter than Red Heart Super Saver, but really any yarn will work for this pattern, some just drape better than others.

Hi Dot, I've been here a few times and I'm going to take the plunge and try one!!! Can you think of a good substitute yarn for this one? i can never seem to find the Bernat baby yarn in a color I like at my store *sigh*. thanks

Thank you, Verdae, I'm glad you like my patterns. I'ts hard for me to say which one would be best for you to start with. It depends on where you are in your learning process. If you like this one, you need to know how to do the single crochet, double crochet and treble crochet. I think most of my stoles are easy projects, so pick one you like and try it. If you get stuck, I'm only a keyboard away and I'll help you as much as I can. Good luck with your projects. Let me know how you're doing.

Another beauty Dot =) I started it last night *g* I'll send you a pic when it's finished, but I have to say, I am loving this! I'm using RH Symphony in Redwood and it's soooo light, airy and *soft*! I suspect it'll be quite warm too =) Thanks for another lovely pattern!

Hi Catherine, thank you. I never would have been able to do all these either if I had to work. I'd be lucky to complete 1 item a week. As it is, I don't do anything now except crochet and mess with the computer.
