Keep those ears nice and toasty when the winter winds start to blow. Seems like a long way off with all the 90 degree days we've had lately, but cold weather will be back before we know it. So why not get a head start fighting off the cold and try a headband for a change from a hat? I might even wear this one.

Hi Marge, Thank you. I'm glad you found me again. I hate it when my printer starts nagging me about wanting more ink. It's so expensive.
 | | | Marge January 7, 2006 08:07 PM PST
I've printed off a bunch. Don't know if I'll ever get them all done. My printer keeps reminding me I'm low on ink.
Gotta tell you. I found your site, then I lost it, and had a heckuva time finding it again. You are very talented. I've enjoyed myself just looking.

Thanks Dot! It is great to be able to crochet all I want. I have definately put a major dent in my yarn supply (my husband would disagree) and have put a dent in my Christmas list. I have been crocheting for years, I am 39 and my grandmother taught me how when I was 7.
It is raining so hard here in NC that you can't even see the street from the house. Would be a great day to sleep, but why sleep when I can crochet???
Thanks again for your help, and am anxious to get started on such an adorable outfit.

Thanks, Terri G. So, you're the one causing all this rain? lol I'm sorry you're sick and hope you'll soon be better, but isn't it wonderful to be able to crochet all you want?
You found my combat baby, huh?. The only thing in that outfit that's my pattern is the pants he's wearing. Give me a little time and I'll find links for the patterns for the sweater, hat, and combat booties. I'll get back to you in a little while.

Dot,
Your patterns are absolutely wonderful! I have been off work sick for 6 weeks and have been crocheting up a storm! (Litterally I think because it's storming here today!) I was looking at your photo album and saw the combat baby... can you either post the pattern or email it to me? My best friend is having her first baby in March and it's a boy... the combat baby would be perfect since her husband is in the Army reserves. Keep up the good work, your patterns are great and you are truly blessed to have the talent to design such wonderful items!

Hi Clare. That hat was made several months ago and I didn't keep a pattern for it because it was so much like the Very Berry I decided not to post a pattern. If you can wait, I'll try to figure out what I did and I'll post a pattern for you.

Dot-
I saw your Bobble Beauty hat pictured in the photo album. Any chance of getting the pattern for this lovely one?

Thank you so much, Crokay! I love sharing my patterns with you. It's so much fun hearing that you've made some of my hats and plan to make more. I hope you continue to enjoy the patterns.

Dot, your website is terrific, and so are you for writing out and sharing all those great patterns. I've made one of your hats and just printed out two more patterns to make.

Thank you so much, Karyn. I'm glad I could inspire you. Hope you find something here you like, let me know if I can help you. I sent you an email with info on afghans. Thanks again for stopping by.

Hi Dot,
You've given me TONS of inspiration here, that I really needed. I'm looking for a pattern that is quirky (like me) to wear with a lavendar column dress for the Red Hat Society. I'm only 41 so I have to wear leavendar and pink and can't find what I need to match so I'm going to have to make what I want. With so many styles here and your easy way of writing them out, I'm certain I can find something just right!!!
Thanks so much for contributing all these WONDERFUL patterns!!!
Now, can you recommend a pattern for an ULTRAFAST afghan pattern incorporating variegated blue and variegated pink? My son is getting married and his color is blue and hers is pink. I've perused book after book and just don't have a lot of time to devote to this project but that doesn't mean I won't make time to give them a gift from the heart. Any suggestions?
Warm Hugs,
Karyn

Oh, Chie, that's so nice of you. If she's like my sister, she'll love it simply because you made it for her. Snow-boarding sounds like a lot of fun.

I think I am making this one for my sister who enjoys snow-boarding! :) I am pretty sure she will love it.
