If you email me at snapdragon1963@yahoo.com, amelia, I could transelate. If you read the comments that will help too. I don't think anyone has heard from Dot in awhile.

That's great, Brooke. I'm sure she'll love it, especially because it comes from you.

Thanks so much! The scarf will be done soon and I can't wait to give it to my friend!

Brooke, do steps 3-5 as the repeat across the row.

Hi Brooke. This is a very poorly written pattern and I'll have to actually make a scarf in order to figure out what's what with this pattern. If you'll give ma a little while, I'll see what I can do to help you.

Hi Dot!
I Love your patterns! I had fun making the Lizzy hat and now I'm trying to make a matching scarf. I am working on row one, and I'm wondering, should I do Steps 1-5 one time and then repeat steps 3-5 for the rest of the row? I tried doing all of 1-5 for the row and it didn't seem quite right. repeating only 3-5 is looking right, but I'm wondering if it is going to mess me up on row 2. Thanks again for sharing, and I'd appreciate your help! I'm making this scarf as a gift and I hope to finish it by tomorrow or tonight if possible. Best wishes to you! and Merry Christmas!

I think that's right Michelle. It will take 2 rows before the petals start to look like a flower. If you still have a problem after you start row 2, let me know and I'll see what I can do to help you.

When you do the first cluster from the foundation row, then go thru the steps, I got confused on steps 3&4. I end up with 2 sets of clusters in the same space. Is that correct? It certainly doesn't look anything like the flower stitch when compared to your hat.

Sorry Michelle, I threw this together more or less as a challenge and didn't take any pictures other than this one. Maybe if you look at the Lizzy tutorial you'll better understand the stitch placement. Here's a link to the tutorial. http://bythehook.blogdrive.com/archive/97.html

Do you have a better picture or a better close-up of the scarf sample? I'm not understanding where the placement of these dtr's are supposed to go.

Hi Wil, "dtr" stands for double treble. You wrap the yarn around the hook 3 times and work off the loops 2 at a time. I should have listed this information on the pattern but I didn't think of it. Good luck with your scarf.

Hi Dot- I'm a beginner...and wanted to know what "dtr" stood for in this pattern. I love this scarf and am really looking forward to trying to make it! Thanks!
