I was looking for a winter hat to make myself, thinking stocking cap but couldn't find colours that I liked. I had some lustrous black worsted left over from an afghan and decided to try your Santa hat in all black. WOW! It is cute, festive, and very comfy, without being TOO christmas so I can wear it all winer long. Thank you so much for sharing your pattern!

Thank you, Audrey. This is one of my favorites too. You chose your supplies the same way I chose mine, it's what I had on hand. The Caron Simply Soft and Red Heart Plush are very good choices for this hat. I bet it looks great! I can't wait to see pictures (hint, hint).

I absolutely love this pattern, especially the flowers on the white part! I've started making one, but I'm using Caron Simply Soft for the white and Red Heart Plush for the red, since I had that lying around. The Plush makes a nice, fuzzy, terry-like texture. So far it's looking great, and I've had requests to make more! What a great idea.
